A New Era Begins
So the Muschamp era has begun. By all accounts, things will be very different. Charlie Weis is an offensive genius, at least that’s the word on the street. We all know that you can have the best coach on the planet, but if the system doesn’t fit your personnel and the personnel don’t have the talent, then you have nothing. Last year Brantley was done a disservice by being forced to play in a system he was less than comfortable in. Don’t get me wrong – I love Urban Meyer. I just don’t think he had the same committment to suiting the system to personnel as he did when he first moved to Gainesville. Muschamp has promised that he will be more geared towards the players and that things will be different. We shall see. Today’s Orange and Blue game was for all intents and purposes, a scrimmage, based on the walking wounded on our team. Still, some 53,000 fans, seem to be encouraged by what they saw. I suspect what they saw is but a teaser of things to come.
For me, Fall cannot get here fast enough. I hate that college football is the shortest of all the sports, and I’m one of those that can’t wait for spring ball just to be able to talk football. I use previously recorded games to get me thru the dry spell in anticipation of the fall. I’ve been away from blogging about my gators for awhile, but I promise to do better.
In all Kinds of weather we all stick together…For F L O R I D A ! GO GATORS!
